Description

A set of shakudo menuki with gold and silver nunome attributed to Kyo Kinko by the NBTHK. These menuki are estimated to date to the 17th century and depict a boy playing a flute to charm a bull, a metaphor for training the mind to achieve enlightenment. The set is accompanied by an NBTHK Hozon paper and a custom fitted kiri-bako.
